Baldwin County Public Schools provides a school health services program that consists of Health Assessment and Care, Emergency Care, Communicable Disease Prevention and Control, Health Education, and Health Screenings for all students in attendance.  Health screening programs include vision, hearing, scoliosis, and periodic dental screening.  Multiple health education programs are provided, which are age appropriate.  Individual Health Care Plans and/or Emergency Action Plans are developed for all students with chronic health care conditions.

One or more Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are assigned to each school.  These nurses are assigned to either the first aid room or classroom with special medical needs students.  There are a select number of RNs responsible for the system's special services and oversight of school-based nurses.
