Instructional Technology
The Instructional Technology Department's goal is to empower teachers to use technology to enrich and accelerate the learning process in the classroom; to expand the learning environment beyond the school building and beyond the normal school day; and to improve communication with parents, students, and other teachers.
The department serves as a single point of contact for district technology planning, which includes
-
implementing the Baldwin County School District Technology Plan,
-
supporting schools in technology planning,
-
developing and implementing the district technology professional development program,
-
coordinating the district ACCESS Distance Learning program,
-
writing and administering Federal Grant Programs for Technology, including E-rate and
-
responding to requests from organizations and agencies for instructional technology data.
Our mission is to use technology as a tool to prepare the student of today to become a productive, contributing citizen of tomorrow.
