Approved Color Versions of Logo

Approved B&W Versions of Logo

Logo usage:
The logo should always appear in its entirety. The graphical
B element should never appear without the words Baldwin County Schools.

Clear Space:
To preserve clarity, no other graphic element should intrude upon the BCPS logo. A clear area equal to at least a 1/8 to 1/4 inch must surround the logo on all sides.

Logo Proportion:
The BCPS logo should always be displayed in equal proportions. You should never shrink the width more than the height or vice versa.

File Formats

The BCPS logo is provided in an .eps and .jpg format.

.eps - The .eps format is "vector" art and is used
primarily by newspapers, printers and sign companies.
This file type should be sent if a logo is
requested by these professionals. This format can also
be imported into programs such as Word, PowerPoint
and Publisher if the logo is being placed on a colored
background. The .eps format allows the logo to have
a transparent background.

.jpg - The .jpg formate is suitable for most print and
web usage.

RGB vs. CMYK

The BCPS logo is also provided in two color schemes.

RGB - RGB stands for "Red, Blue and Green" and is the standard color display for computer monitors. Any logo on a website or PowerPoint presentation should be in the RGB format.

The logo files in RGB are:

  • BCPS logo_rgb72.jpg
  • BCPS round logo_RGB72.jpg

CMYK - all printers use the color scheme CMYK, which stands for "Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black." Any logo sent to a printer should be CMYK format.

The logo files in CMYK are:

  • BCPS logo_cmyk300.jpg
  • BCPS round logo_CMYK300.jpg

Resolution

The BCPS logo is provided in two resolutions, 72 dpi
and 300 dpi. DPI stands for "dots per inch." The more
dots printed, the better the clarity.

72 dpi - A resolution of 72 should ONLY be used for
websites and PowerPoint. If the logo at 72 dpi is
used for print purposes, it will be blurry and
unacceptable print quality will result.

The logo files with 72 resolution are:

  • BCPS logo_bw72.jpg
  • BCPS logo_rgb72.jpg
  • BCPS round logo_bw72.jpg
  • BCPS round logo_rgb72.jpg

300 dpi - A resolution of 300 should ALWAYS be used for print pieces, including brochures and flyers.

The logo files with 300 resolution are:

  • BCPS logo_bw300.jpg
  • BCPS logo_cmyk300.jpg
  • BCPS round logo_bw300.jpg
  • BCPS round logo_CMYK300.jpg

(The .eps file does not have a resolution. This allows it to be enlarged for signs and billboards with maximum clarity.)

BW

The BCPS logo is also provided in black and white formats.

BW - The logo should be used in black and white any time you prefer it to be printed or displayed in one color.

The logo files in BW are:

  • BCPS logo_bw300.jpg
  • BCPS logo_bw72.jpg
  • BCPS round logo_bw300.jpg
  • BCPS round logo_bw72.jpg
