In cases when the first and/or last date of employment for the 2013-2014 school year falls during the summer 4-day work week, all employees should ascertain their weekly hours for the first/final week total the same as if they worked their regular hours for the number of days indicated.
ALL employees are paid for working the same number of hours EVERY day of their calendar! (Exception: some bus drivers work more hours in their concurrent custodial positions on days when not driving the bus)
These calendars are intended as a basis for salary calculations. The holidays and beginning and ending dates may be adjusted upon the discretion of the school principal and in concurrence with the Human Resource Office. THE MAJOR REQUIREMENT IS THAT EACH EMPLOYEE BE ON THE JOB THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DAYS FOR THE CORRESPONDING EMPLOYMENT PERIOD. THIS IS THE PRINCIPAL'S RESPONSIBILITY!
182-day calendar corresponds with student attendance calendar plus 2 days.
187-day calendar corresponds with calendar for nine-month teachers.
