  1. How do I sign on to the STIPD website?

To access the features of the STIPD website: http://pdweb.alsde.edu, type your Username and Password in the appropriate fields.

Using the drop-list, select the LEA. ( LEA: Baldwin County)

  1. How do I update my profile?

 Log into the STIPD website ( http://pdweb.alsde.edu)

 At the Welcome Page, you will notice several tabs. Click the “My Profile” tab. You will notice three links:

  • Login Username and/or Password
  • Contact Information
  • Employment Information

Click on the Login Username and/or Password link. To change your username and password enter the information into the form, then click “UPDATE NOW.”

Please note: once the changes are made, the user will need to use the new login information. Please store the information in a location convenient to the user.

  1. I am experiencing difficulty with my login information. What should I do?

User should go to the school technology coordinator for assistance.

User should make sure that access is to the http://pdweb.alsde.edu website.

If the user has changed the login information, current login must be used.

The login information does not automatically default to the originally assigned login information.

User should contact the professional development office. Cynthia Lee’s office number is 972-8567. You may send e-mail, as well, to clee@bcbe.org.

  1. How do I use the STIPD website to register for a session?

Use the internet explorer to access the STIPD website. (http://pdweb.alsde.edu)

Login using the Username, Password, and LEA. ( Baldwin County)

Click the tab marked “PD Titles”.

Select the Option or link: Search the PD Title Catalog.

Minimize the title search by entering the letters PD or SD in the field marked PD Title Number and click on “Search Now.”

The titles can be reviewed.

Make a title selection.

After reviewing the title, click the “ View Schedule” link located in the upper right hand of the title review all of the sessions available.

After reviewing the sessions, click the “ Enroll Now” button to register.

An e-mail will be transmitted to indicate that the registration has taken place and an e-mail will be transmitted to report “approval pending.”

  1. How will I know that my registration has received approval?

Upon approval of the session, an e-mail will be automatically sent to the user. The e-mail will inform you of the title, date, location of the session and your name will automatically be removed from the “Pending Enrollment Approval Request list.

The user must check e-mail regularly.

  1. How do I enter in-services, workshops, or conferences that I attended outside of the local school district to my profile?

Upon completion of the activity, the teacher must enter/add the information to his/her training history. The principal or designee’ should access the STIPD website and approve the activity. (Appropriate documentation to verify attendance and credit hours will be required.)

  1. I have registered for a session; however, it has not been approved and the workshop is in two days. What should I do?

The user should report this to his/her principal or designee. Although principal may give verbal approval, the approval must be indicated in the STIPD website.

Upon approval, the user will receive an e-mail that the session has been approved.

  1. What will happen to our professional development hours of past years?

The professional development logs received by the Professional Development office for the last three school years will be entered into the MY HISTORY profile of each teacher in an effort to create tracking of professional growth activity for future use of certification renewals, for the State Department of Education, as well as the certificated employees.

Effective January 4, 2006, the information on the in-service sign-in sheets received by the professional development office personnel will be entered into the STIPD website “my history” profiles, at the Central Office Satellite location.
