Mr. Bailey's Bio

I am excited about the opportunity given to me to serve as the Executive Middle School Principal for the Baldwin County Board of Education. It is a privilege to work with such a committed group of Principals, Assistant Principals, Teachers, and Staff who share my love of children and desire to see our students be successful citizens in our community. I have resided in Baldwin County since 1991, having been born in Opp, Alabama and having attended Straughn High School in Covington County. My undergraduate degree is in HPERD from the University of Mobile, and I received by master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Alabama.

My career with the Baldwin County Board of Education has included eleven years as a Teacher, Coach, and Assistant Principal with Elberta Middle School. For the past four years, I have served as the Principal of Foley Middle School. I have been blessed to be married to Ashleigh Gruber for twelve years, and I am the proud father of Tucker, ten years old, Ben, nine years old, Caroline, seven years old, and Campbell, four years old. My family keeps me busy, but when I have the time I enjoy fishing and sports.

As the new Executive Middle School Principal, I am looking forward to working with not only the Administration, Teachers, and Staff of our ten middle schools, but also the parents and community leaders who are invested in our vision to create a world class learning environment. Baldwin County is truly a wonderful place to live and work because parents and families care about a quality education for their children.
