David Tarwater was born in Madison, Alabama. He has lived in Baldwin County for 22 years. Mr. Tarwater graduated from the University of Alabama in 1979 with a B.S. degree in Special Education. He has owned and operated a Daphne area business for the past 16 years.

Mr. Tarwater serves on the board for SEEDS, Supporting Educational Enrichment in Daphne Schools. He attends the Church of the Apostles, an Anglican church, and serves as a member of their vestry.

Mr. Tarwater is married to Vivian Tarwater and lives in Daphne. Their children are Alex Tarwater, daughter-in-law Sara, and daughter Christina Tarwater.
