SUPT. UPDATE ABOUT INJURED GULF SHORES BAND STUDENTS

The following was e-mailed Sunday night, March 19, at 8 p.m.

Good evening – as we start the week, I just want to ask that you keep our recovering Gulf Shores High School band members in your thoughts and prayers. They have been through a lot. Not all of them have returned to school. Twelve – six middle school students and six high school students – were injured at the Gulf Shores Mardi Gras Parade. Presently one student continues to be treated at the University of South Alabama Burn and Wound Care Center and another student has been re-admitted to Sacred Heart for continuing procedures. I’ve been able to speak to most all of these students' parents this week. They have all expressed their appreciation to you for your thoughts, prayers and concerns. Thank you for remembering these families as you go about your week. Thank you for letting me share. I hope you have a good night and a great week.
Eddie Tyler, Superintendent
