2017-2018 Peer Helper applications for Fairhope High School are available in the FHS Library. They’re due by Wednesday, March 22. Current high school applicants have an informational meeting this Friday before (7:30 a.m.) or after school in Mrs. Burt's room (313). Applicants not attending FairhopeHS don’t need to attend this meeting. Mrs. Burt just wanted applicants to know that the class will be during the assigned “study hall” period next year, which will be a 30 minute period in the middle of the day. Due to this, Mrs. Burt will guarantee at least two days a week of study hall time, but there may be be some weeks with more study hall time.
Students from Coach Machen's and Ms. Davis' finance classes toured Ashley Gates Apartments and Dunmore Homes last week. The tour was an extention of their unit study on housing. The students went through the leasing process of an apartment, and they learned about the process of building a house including possible upgrades and costs, floor plans, square footage, HOA regulations of a subdivision and the home buying process.

Students who are interested in living on campus at Coastal Alabama Community College: The online application will open March 22 at 9:00am. There will be no paper applications this year. You must have your student number available to apply for housing (so you should have previously applied for admission and have an assigned student id #). Housing will fill up in a matter of hours, so students, who plan to live on campus in Bay Minette, will need to be able to logon and file the application during the school day. I also believe you will have to submit a $100 deposit (via credit or debit card) at the time of the application. More information can be found at the link: http://www.faulknerstate.edu/students/housing/
