Mrs. Kim Dean
I am a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama, where I was blessed to grow up on Lake Martin. I earned a scholarship in Performing Arts to Central Alabama Community College after graduation, married my high school sweetheart , and then transferred to Auburn University at Montgomery. I worked full time while attending AUM and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, grades P-12.
My teaching career has taken me all over the state of Alabama. I've taught in Chambers, Coosa, Tuscaloosa and Baldwin counties. After moving to Baldwin County, I taught at Foley Intermediate for 9 years, grades 4 and 6, full inclusion. Currently, I am a Pre-K teacher at Robertsdale Elementary School where I teach both students with special needs and typical students. I have had the privilege of working with some of the most dedicated teachers throughout my career, and I have had numerous opportunities to grow professionally. I am currently enrolled at the University of West Alabama in the Special Education Master's program.
My husband and I have 2 beautiful daughters, love spending time at the beach, and are avid Auburn fans. My family and I attend 3 Circle Church in Fairhope, Alabama where we are active members.
