Leah Wolf
My name is Leah Wolf and I teach 9th and 10th grade English. I hold a bachelor's degree in Print Journalism and a master's degree in Secondary English Language Arts Education from the University of South Alabama. I have also taught Honors English 9 and my student teaching included IB and AP courses for grades 9-11. I currently serve as the junior class sponsor and homecoming dance sponsor. I also work part-time at Rockwell After School Care.
I began my career as a journalist at the Mobile Register newspaper, where I also worked during college. I went on to be a grant writer at United Way of Central Alabama, an online producer for WKRG News 5, and a marketing coordinator at Foreign-Trade Zone Corporation. I strive to bring my previous professional experiences to the classroom in a variety of ways to benefit my students and school.
Though I am a Mobile native, I have lived in Baldwin County for several years and recently purchased a home in Loxley. I have two daughters, Rachel, a junior this year at SFHS, and Julia, a third-grader at Rockwell Elementary School. We belong to Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne.
My goal is to provide engaging instruction that promotes critical thinking, fosters a diversity of ideas and discussion, and develops writing and communication skills for every student. Also, I firmly believe that the best education takes place when parents, students and teachers work together as a team, and I welcome any comments, questions or concerns via email at lpwolf@bcbe.org or phone at 251-625-3259.
Our class Moodle page includes lesson plans, upcoming tests and assignments, and current readings for each class. You may log in at: https://learn.bcbe.org/login/index.php.
