Hi and welcome to Summerdale School. I joined the faculty at Summerdale in 1999 and taught second grade. I was moved to third grade for three years and then landed in fourth. This year, however, I have returned to teaching second grade. This is my 19th year at Sumerdale. prior to teaching in Baldwin County, I taught second grade for 12 years in Escambia County, FL.

On a personal note, I have been widowed for 5 years. Together my husband and I have three children. My oldest daughter is married and is a designer in Georgia. My son and younger daughter still live in Baldwin County and are achieving their goals and dreams.

I am excited to be back in second grade. I love to teach students by discovery and do hands on activities.

So roll up your sleeves and let's get busy learning. I am looking forward to working with all of you!
