Degrees and Certifications:

Mary Wilson

Hi it is great to be back at Daphne High School! I have ten years of total teaching experience. I was at DHS from 2007-2009 and now 2016-present. I teach Algebra I and Geometry. I also have teaching experience at Theodore High School and Remington and Virginia Colleges in Mobile.

I am married with two children, Sarah and Jack who are Trojans and in the band. My husband and I really enjoy helping with the band and watching them perform.

I am originally from Shelbyville, Kentucky and have a BS degree in Applied Math from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. I also have BS in Systems Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. I lived in Orlando for 19 years and worked as a System Engineer for Lockheed Martin and Coleman Aerospace for 15 years.  While at Lockheed Martin I worked on night vision systems, the “Star Wars” program and on Titan IV rockets.  The Cassini mission that was in the student news last year was launched with a Titan IV Rocket that I worked on.  If you are interested in learning more about engineering I would love to talk to you.

I also have an MBA from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL and most recently a Masters in Math Education from the University of South Alabama where I am a Noyce Pathway to Mathematics Scholar. The Noyce program continues to provide me with new professional development learning opportunities.

I am looking forward to a great school year!  Go Trojans!
