     Coach Chad Keith, 8th Basketball

    Bio

My name is Chad Keith and I am the basketball coach at FMS. I received my bachelor’s degree from Troy State University in 1994 in Elementary Education. I grew up in Kinston, Alabama and have been married to my wife, Kelly, for over twenty years. We have a son, Taylor, and a daughter, Bailey.

My coaching style of basketball is up-tempo. I believe that basketball and other sports are beneficial for students because they keep them busy and active. Sports also promote discipline and help students learn to prioritize their time.

My name is Lee Earnest and I teach P.E. at Fairhope Middle School. I coach 8th grade volleyball. I grew up in Fairhope, graduated from Fairhope High School, and am a member of the Fairhope High School Athletic Hall of Fame. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of South Alabama in 1996 in Physical Education. I have coached various sports through the years, including: varsity volleyball, varsity softball, varsity track, jv softball, jv basketball, jv volleyball, 8th grade and 7th grade volleyball, 8th grade basketball, middle school track, middle school cheerleading, and soccer sponsor.

One of my fondest moments happened when one of my past players thanked me for helping her become involved in volleyball. If not for her volleyball scholarship, she said she would not have gone to college.

I have been married for the past five years to Al Earnest, the Head Football/AD at Washington County High School in Chatom. When I am not teaching or coaching at FMS, I enjoy fishing, going to the beach, reading, traveling, or spending some time with my husband Al.
