Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! I am Amanda Woerner and will be teaching 7th and 8th grade math this year. This is my 10th year in education, and I am beyond excited to rejoin the amazing faculty, staff, and students that all make up the Dolphin Community. I started my teaching career at Gulf Shores Middle School, and after some time away, am so happy to return to this amazing school.
I have my undergraduate degree in Middle Grades Mathematics from the University of West Florida, and just recently finished my Master’s in Secondary Special Education through the University of South Alabama.
I am a mom of two boys, Forest (2nd grade) and Brody (Kindergarten). I have lived in Baldwin County all of my life and have been amazed at the growth we have seen in the past 5-10 years. It is an exciting time with all of the new opportunities in our county. It’s a much different time from my childhood days on the family farm in Elberta!
I love all things Disney, and try to take my boys at least once a year to visit the Mouse. I think a day at the beach is always a day well-spent, and rarely turn down a chance at good pizza or a good dessert. I am looking forward to an amazing year at Gulf Shores Middle School! Go Dolphins!
