My name is Sheree Nelson and I teach Math Intervention at Spanish Fort Middle School.  I am originally from the suburbs of Atlanta and finally escaped the chaos and traffic when we moved to the Spanish Fort/Daphne area 8 years ago.  My husband Bill and I met at Georgia Tech and we have 2 awesome daughters, 2 cats and a dog.  Caroline will be a Junior at ASMS and Elysa will be in 7th grade at SFMS.  In my "free" time I enjoy playing tennis.  My family is admittedly a family of nerds.  I am a big Star Wars fan and my girls have turned me into a Harry Potter and Marvel fan, as well.  (Don't get me wrong though, Adam West is still the best Batman and still my favorite superhero)

I started subbing 3 years ago and have really enjoyed being in the middle school environment.  It's a fun age to watch kids come into their own personality and many of them actually understand my quirky sense of humor.  Spanish Fort Middle School is a great place full of great kids and wonderful staff.  I feel lucky to be around such a great group of students, whether I'm subbing or in Math Intervention.  

My goal is to get kids comfortable with math.  Math isn't scary or something to be embarrassed about if you don't "get it."  I like to have a very relaxed and fun environment.  Kids shouldn't be stressed out about coming once a week.  We will have some fun and strengthen our math skills as we go.  GO TOROS!
