    Virtual School Learning Environment Schedule

     

    Key Considerations

    • Use engaging instructional video lessons produced by master teachers, in-line with BCPSS curriculum and ALSDE Critical Standards
    • Provide high quality digital instructional materials and mixed media content for additional resources
    • Provide monthly online Family Support and Resources
    • Communicate classroom management which includes rules and procedures (ethics) for online assessments and assignments.
    • Use delivery platforms (log-in, chat, share screen, etc) and interaction with other virtual students through “chat” options, breakout rooms for small groups and Virtual Field Trips

    Sample teacher/student schedule

    (Reflects teacher office hours, tutoring, assessment, RtI, IEP, ESL and Gifted services schedule.) 

    Sunday:

    • Google classroom upcoming weekly assignments email to parents/students

    Monday:

    • Begin Google CR assignments (student)
    • Face to Face Tutoring available (teacher & student)
    • Tutoring 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon (teacher & student)
    • Tutoring 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (teacher & student)

    Note: 

    • Based on student address, a tutoring site will be established.
    • Based on student grade level, a tutoring time will be established.
    • Students not in need of tutoring will work on weekly assignments.

    Tuesday:

    • Continue to work on Google CR assignments (student)
    • Teacher Office Hours (8:00 a.m. – 12 noon) teacher available to conference with individual parents/students.
    • Teacher provided specialized intervention (1:00 – 3:00) for:
      • students with Individual Learning Plan
      • students in need of interventions (RtI)
      • student with English as a Second Language intervention
      • enrichment for students with a Gifted placement

    Note:  Times for each service will be arrange with the parent for either Tuesday or Wednesday. 

    Wednesday:

    • Continue to work on Google CR assignments (student)
    • Teacher Office Hours (8:00 a.m. – 12 noon) teacher available to conference with individual parents/students

    • Virtual Fields Trips 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.(time schedule per grade level or group)

    Friday:

    • Submit weekly assignments (student)
    • Art/Music and resource activities provided
    • Teacher/Staff Planning
    • This time will include:
      • Teacher/Staff meeting with lead teacher/curriculum dept./academic dean and or assistant superintendent
      • Developing Google CR assignments for upcoming week
      • Reviewing assessments, classroom assignments and other student data
      • Prepare Student Dashboard of weekly assignments (to be sent out Sunday evening)
