Mission & Goals

  • Support students in families who want to experience a high-quality online educational option.  To provide students with flexible and rigorous online learning opportunities that will help them acquire the knowledge, skills, and characteristics necessary for college and career readiness.

Courses will be engaging and interactive with rigorous standards-based content to meet the diverse educational needs of our students. Students, parents, and teachers will be active partners in learning. All students, teachers, and parents are held accountable for their role in the educational process. The continuous examination is vital for program improvement.

Goal: Goal to focus on the individual success of each student and tailor courses/instruction to students’ educational needs. Provide students access to Advanced Placement and specialized coursework, which may be offered in brick.  Provide students with 21st-century education to make them competitive in the workforce after high school or as the pursuit of a degree from a higher institution.

    Beneficial:

    • Access to coursework from anywhere at any time.
    • Combination of structure and freedom.
    • Effective time management.
    • Expanded worldview.
    • Asynchronous discussions with classmates.
    • Immediate feedback on tests.

    Unbeneficial:
Having a time management system is perhaps the most difficult challenge for students because it depends entirely on self-motivation. Students need to be serious about their education, learn how to manage time, set their daily schedule, and study despite constant distractions.
