    CHESS CLUB DESCRIPTION

    Chess Club is designed to give students an opportunity to learn the game of chess, improve their chess skills, and to enjoy challenging their peers, while experiencing healthy competition and team spirit. Chess is used to develop critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making. While the students will have the chance to track their progress and to compete in chess matches, our main focus will be to encourage learning, sportsmanship, and fun. Chess club will meet every other week at the Daphne campus and compete in monthly Chess Meets at Daphne High School.
