My name is Christie Brown and I have the pleasure of being chosen as your child’s teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. This will be my 9^th year here at Summerdale School.

       Just a little about myself, I was born and raised in Foley, Alabama. I am a 1995 graduate of Foley High School. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of South Alabama in 2001 in Interdisciplinary Studies. This included a major in Business, Leisure Studies, Sociology, and Education. After trying out several careers, I realized that my true desire was to teach children. Therefore I returned to the University of South Alabama and received my Masters of Education degree in the fall of 2008.

       To this date, I have been married to my magnificent husband-Nakiel-for 21 years. We have two blessed children-Alexus (University of Alabama sophomore) and Nakelia (11^th grade). I enjoying singing, shopping, traveling, board games, and spending quality time with my family.
