Baldwin County Public Schools earned an overall grade of 89 on this year’s Alabama State Report Card — placing us among the highest-performing large districts in the state!

We are beyond proud to share that Baldwin County Public Schools is home to the 2026 Alabama Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations to Elizabeth Von Hofe of Spanish Fort Elementary School on this incredible honor. Mrs. Von Hofe was selected from educators across Alabama and will now go on to compete for National Teacher of the Year.

Her passion, leadership and dedication to students reflect the very best of BCPS, and we could not be more excited to celebrate this achievement.

A big part of this recognition goes to our groundbreaking Baldwin Preparatory Academy, where students earn dual-enrollment credits, industry credentials, and apprenticeships—all at no extra cost.

Elberta Middle School and Central Baldwin Middle School. Central Baldwin was recently recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community at Work. This honor is awarded to schools and districts that demonstrate strong commitment to collaboration, student learning and result-driven improvement. Elberta Middle was named by the same group and given Model School Status. There are only 9 schools in the state that have earned this recognition, and only three middle schools. 

We had four students earn a perfect “36” on their ACT! Congrats to Baldwin County Virtual School and Spanish Fort High for those honors!

We had three new schools added to the list of our already existing schools, named as 2025 Purple Star Schools. Florence B. Mathis, Spanish Fort High, and Stonebridge Elementary were all recently honored by the state. Purple Star Status is given to those schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families.

Robertsdale High School’s NJROTC team competed in the NJROTC National Championship in Anniston and the team finished ranked 4^th in the country!

Baldwin County High Schools’ robotics team placed 5th in the state at the Alabama Robotics Competition in Tuscaloosa. The team is new and growing at BCHS!

Fairhope men’s and Daphne women’s basketball teams both made it to the Final Four of the state championship. Academics are our focus, but strong athletic and extracurricular teams help keep our kids energized and excited about being part of their school!

The Class of 2025 graduated with more than $72 million in college scholarship offers. Our students are reaching for the stars both inside and outside the classroom. Here’s to celebrating their hard work and bright futures!

BCBE is now home to four National Blue Ribbon Schools! This prestigious honor recognizes schools that are among the very best in the nation for academic excellence.

We’re proud of our students, teachers, and staff for making Baldwin County Public Schools a place where excellence happens every day!

In 2024-2025, about 1,750 BCBE high school students earned 21,793 college credit hours through our dual enrollment with Coastal Alabama! Their average college GPA was 3.3, and they were awarded over $4 million in scholarship funds.
