Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kathleen Carraway
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California, I graduated from California State University, Chico in 1997 with a degree in Liberal Studies. I then moved to Alabama and graduated spring 1999 with a degree in Special Education. I taught for 3 years at Fairhope Middle School, 1 year at Delta, 1 year at Rockwell, and finally arrived at W.J.Carroll (formerly Daphne Elementary South) in the fall of 2005. I transitioned to a 4th grade classroom for the 2011-2012 school year. The 2017-2018 school year is my 18th year teaching.
I met my husband of 18 years, Nathan, while working in Glacier National Park in 1995. We live in Daphne with our two children, Jordan (16) and Ryan (12). We love animals. Our collection includes two dogs (Buster and Chief), two squirrels (Gimpy and Spazzy), and one box turtle (George).
