Mrs. Camille Stephens

Hello, I am Camille Stephens and I teach 4th Grade at W.J. Carroll.  I have 17 years experience here in Baldwin County.  I have taught 1st Grade, 3rd Grade and 4th Grade.  I am originally from North Alabama and graduated from Jacksonville State University.  I have 2 younger brothers, one lives in Rainsville, Al and the other is in the Army.  I am married to Doug Stephens and we have 4 children.  Will, Ben, and Jim are triplets and our daughter's name is Amelia.  We also have a dog named Sandy.

Over the years, we have enjoyed traveling to many places, such as San Francisco, New York, Canada (Niagara Falls), Washington D.C. and Brazil.  I enjoy cooking, walking, and crafting.  I have also made some interesting discoveries about my family.  After becoming interested in our family genealogy,  I learned that I am 1/16 Cherokee Indian, although I don't look it.  The "Irish" genetics won out!  I also learned that one of my grandfather's ancestors discovered "Russell Cave" in Northern Alabama, which is  a national landmark for the state.  I enjoy history which has made teaching Alabama History even more enjoyable for me and my students.
