Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Tomica Bradley- Wiggins
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Tomica Bradley- Wiggins and I am the School Counselor. I am so happy to be here and part of such a wonderful school and community!
I received a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of West Alabama in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. It was during that time that I made the decision to spend my life working with children and families. I went on to earn my Masters Degree in School Counseling and a Certification in Education Administration. This summer, I completed my Specialist Degree in School Counseling. Throughout my tenure in education, I worked in several school districts with students in grades K-12.
As a school counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, personal and social development of all students. I look forward to offering support to the students, staff, families and community. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, conducting classroom lessons, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Magnolia students and families.
Parental involvement is extremely important to student achievement. I would like to encourage you to participate in the activities we have planned for you and your child this year. Flyers will be sent home in the red folders when activities are scheduled. The purpose of the activities may sometimes be informative or just a time for you and your child to enjoy a fun activity together.
Any student can request to meet with me or they can be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent. I encourage you to contact me if you have concerns regarding your child. If you would like for me to meet with your child please do not hesitate to contact me.
I am here to help students achieve their personal/social and academic goals, as well as provide support for the parents and teachers. I can be reached by email TWiggins-Bradley@bcbe.org or phone at 251-965-6200.
I am thrilled to be working with you and your child and welcome your input as we create an effective and nurturing counseling program.
