Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Betsy Christopher
When I received my teaching degree from the University of South Alabama after being a stay-at-home mom, I became a part of Magnolia School family in 2003 as a Kindergarten teacher. It has been an honor and a blessing to spend my days with the most amazing group of teachers and students that love to come and learn each and every day.
Outside of the classroom, I love to spend time at the pool coaching the City of Foley Summer Swim Team, yoga, travel, and play tennis when I can. I've been married to my wonderful husband, Bob, for over twenty-eight years and we have three amazing children. Mary Ana is a nurse at U.S.A. Children's & Women's Hospital. She and her husband Nate are the parents of my first grandchild. David is a senior at the University of Alabama majoring in accounting. Our youngest child, Madelyn, attends Magnolia School.
My goals this year are to help my students recognize their own talents, develop a deep love for the art & craft of reading and writing, to develop math skills that they can apply to their real world, and to see school as a fun, safe place where they are loved and respected.
"Kindergarten children are confident in spirit, infinite in resources, and eager to learn. Everything is still possible" - Robert Fulghum
