Allyson Gates Thompson
Hi, My name is Allyson Thompson and I love teaching 5th grade! Fairhope Intermediate School is an amazing place to teach and learn!
I graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2003 with my undergraduate degree in elementary education. I returned to USA and earned my Master's Degree in elementary education in 2005. GO JAGS!
I previously taught kindergarten, 4th grade, and 5th grade in Mobile County for 7 years. This will be my 8th year at FIS teaching 5th grade (15 years in education total).
For the 2019-2020 school year I will be working with Mrs. Garner. I will teach history, reading, and writing and Mrs. Garner will teach math and science.
I have two children, Nolan(13) and Laney(10). Nolan will be in 8th grade at FMS, and loves fishing and hunting. Laney will be in fifth grade at Fairhope Intermediate School, and loves dancing at Sheffield School of the Dance!
In my spare time I like to go to the beach, pool, bay, or river. I love living on the Gulf Coast and I enjoy all things water related! I think we live in paradise! Fairhope is a wonderful place to live and work!
