I've had the priviledge of teaching and coaching at Baldwin County High School since 2006. I teach both Pre-AP and AP Biology. I also coach both Boys and Girls Cross Country in the fall and Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer in the spring.
I really didn’t consider teaching as a profession until I attended graduate school. As part of my graduate assistantship, I taught several biology courses in college, and I quickly fell in love with it. I've not only enjoyed the aspect of teaching the content, but I've also enjoyed getting to know my students. And as the years have gone by, I've enjoyed watching them grow and mature into young adults.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family: son-Evan (age 6) , son-Collin (age 2), and wife-Lauren (age-not allowed to say! :) ). And when I'm able to find a little alone time, I enjoy hiking (particularly the Appalachain Trail and Pinhoti Trail), birding, and training in and competing in triathlons.
