I am the School Social Worker and assist students in grades 9-12 on social/emotional and home issues, boyfriend/girlfriend issues, mental health issues, anger management, stress management, etc. I also provide individual, group or family counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to community resources. I have served as the social worker at Foley High since 2012.
I am a 1996 graduate of Foley High School (go Lions!) and attended Auburn University (War Eagle!!) where I obtained a BS in Human Development and Family Studies. I received a Master of Social Work degree in 2002 from the University of Alabama. I hold an LICSW license as well as a PIP in casework. I am a member of the Alabama School Social Work Association.
Former work experience includes Baldwin County DHR, Family Options (in-home services), school social work (Gulf Shores High School), and East Alabama Mental Health in Opelika where I was the Prevention Coordinator and Special Deliveries Program Manager. I am married to David and we are proud parents of our son, Tate and our daughter, Reid.
