Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Dendy Messick
I graduated from Foley High School in 1985 and from Auburn University with a degree in Secondary Science Education. I have been teaching in Baldwin County schools since 1991 where it seems I have carried on the family business. My mother, Mary Hazel, taught typing, and my father, O'Neal, served as the principal of Foley High School from 1975 until 1984. They both retired after each accumulated more than thirty years of teaching.
I plan to continue to teach as long as enjoy it, and feel that I can truly make a difference in the lives of young people. I truly love the faculty and students of Foley High School. I can't imagine ever wanting to teach anywhere else.
I am married to Marti, and we have five daughters: Allie, a graduate of the University of Mobile, and working at Mobile Christian School, Paige, a graduate of Troy University and attending pharmacy school at Auburn, Jill, a junior at Auburn, and two daughters who are currently attending Foley Schools, Maddy and Mary Katherine.
