Degrees and Certifications:
B.S. Special Education - University of South Alabma
Mrs. Michelle Grant
My love for kids began years ago as a Foley High School senior. It was a National Honor Society service project for a special group of students that gave me the direction I needed to begin my career in education. I attended the University of Montevallo and later, the University of South Alabama, where I earned a degree in Special Education. I am currently pursuing my masters degree at the University of West Alabama.
I began my teaching career at FHS in 1989, the last year on the old campus. I taught for three more years before I took a LONG break to raise our two girls. In the fall of 2012, I came back to FHS where I now spend my days as a resource/inclusion teacher and department co-chair. I feel blessed to be part of such a great group of people: administrators, teachers, other staff, and students.
My husband, John and I, have been happily married for over 30 years and have two girls. Laura is a special education teacher at Elberta High School; Madison is a senior at Mississippi State University. We love spending time together as a family watching Alabama football and taking sunset cruises on Wolf Bay.
