Mr. Watts was born and raised on the Eastern Shore. He attended Fairhope High school. After graduation, he then went on to further his studies at Tuskegee University majoring in business and graduating with a B.S. degree. After substitute teaching at Fairhope Intermediate School, he was encouraged to pursue a Masters degree in education by a school board member. After attaining a masters degree in Elementary Education , M. Ed from Alabama State University, he began teaching fourth grade at Foley Intermediate in 1996. Since that time, Mr. Watts has taught 5th grade in Griffin, Georgia, sixth grade at Daphne Middle school and W.J. Carroll, along with working as leadership intern with Baldwin County Board of Education. He has also attained leadership certification from Troy State University.
In his leisure time, he can be found playing golf on a local golf course, fishing in the bay or spending time with his family.
