Hello Students and Parents,

 

I came to Baldwin County almost 5 years ago from Jacksonville, Florida where I taught social studies in two large high schools as well as Florida Virtual School. Prior to that I taught for 10 years in the Fort Lauderdale area and was an administrators assistant. I have taught all subjects within the social studies framework, and I am Collegeboard certified in AP Human Geography, AP US History, and AP US Government and Politics. I have also been a national reader for AP Human Geography, and AP US History.

I have been a department chair when I taught in Jacksonville and I am the department chair at RHS. I started the first social studies honors society in Baldwin County in 2017 called Rho Kappa. I also am a certified trainer for APLUS College Ready where I teach other teachers social studies concepts at other schools within the state. I also work for Pearson scoring new teachers lesson plans nationally. I have been teaching social studies on-line for Access for the past 3 years.

I have been married for the past 16 years and have two children. One is a junior this year, and one is a seventh grader. I enjoy reading, exercising, and all college sports. I received my bachelors degree from the University of Florida, and my masters and doctorate degrees from Nova Southeastern University.
