Kim Berry Williams
My name is Kim Berry Williams and I have been the preschool Special Education Inclusion Teacher at Rockwell Elementary since her doors opened in 1997. I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I graduated from Central High School. The University of Alabama is where I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early childhood special education with a minor in child development. I received a graduate assistantship which gave me the opportunity to assist in teaching college level classes and I received ”the most outstanding graduate” award in special education. I had the wonderful experience of working at the Rise Stallings Center before making my move to Baldwin County. I moved to Orange Beach, Alabama in 1994 and began working as a special education teacher at Spanish fort Elementary, Stapleton Elementary and Delta Elementary. Even though I was working in an unfamiliar field, I had the privilege to meet Robbie Owen, which led me to assist in developmental testing at Daphne Elementary which eventually led me to become the preschool special education teacher at Daphne Elementary for 1 year until Rockwell opened. I was honored “teacher of the year” in 2004 and for 7 years I was the IEP Chairperson at our school. I have served on many committees at school such as the Project Outreach Club , and teacher of the year teams.
I am now living in Daphne. I have 3 children; Ally , Zack and Hill. I am very proud to work with such a wonderful group of Teachers and Administrators.
