I am originally from Livingston, Alabama—home of one of Alabama’s few covered bridges as well as my alma mater, The University of West Alabama (formerly Livingston University). I attended Sumter Academy from first grade until I graduated in 1986.
I attended Livingston University and received my B.S. in Elementary Education in 1990.
My first job was in Hale County in a small town, Akron, Alabama. I taught sixth, fifth, fourth, second and one combination class of first and second graders. I was employed there from 1990-1998. My second job was in Lanett, Alabama. I taught third grade from 1998-2005. During this time, I received my M.S. in Elementary Education from Troy State in 2002.
My move to Baldwin County gave me the opportunity to teach at Daphne Middle School, 8th grade English for one year. Now, I am happy to be a Rockwell teacher.
I currently live in Daphne and have one son, Russ who attends Spanish Fort Middle School.
