Degrees and Certifications:
This is my 29th year of teaching. My first five years were spent teaching Biology at Bolton High School in Arlington, TN. In 1999 I came back home to south Baldwin County to teach science at Gulf Shores Middle School. Having graduated from Foley High School in the late 80's, I have strong ties to this area. I can not think of anything that I would rather be doing for a living than teach secondary students. I love to hunt and fish, walk the beach at sunrise, go tubing down the Styx River, and hike in the woods. I am married to a wonderful woman, Dawn, who keeps me centered and is my best friend. I also have a beautiful daughter, Katie, who will be graduating high school this year.
I am excited to teach a completely new curriculum to me! I currently have 4 Environmental Management classes (which may count as a science credit), 1 Fish and Wildlife Management class, and 1 Forestry class. FFA is our "parent" club that is incorperated into the curriculum of each class. We have a unique FFA club as our location is centered toward the Gulf of Mexico and includes dune restoration and working with the saltwater fishing industry.
I'm proud to be a Gulf Shores Dolphin and am looking forward to a great 2017/18 school year!
