Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Lawrence Yelding

My name is Coach LT Yelding. I am from Daphne, AL. I completed my high school years at Fairhope High School.  After graduation, I enrolled in Alabama State University, where I received my BS degree, in Criminal Justice (Juvenile Justice).  After graduation, I returned home and began my career.  For two years, I was employed by Mobile Mental Health where I worked with children/adolescence in both an acute setting, as well as a case manager in the field.

After two years, I didn’t believe I was having the impact on children that I desired. Therefore, I decided to return to school to pursue a degree in education. I have been teaching History for 19 years. I have been teaching at Daphne High School for 18 years. It has been great! Through the years, I have been very fortunate to be a part and play a part in individuals lives that are performing in every field of human endeavor. From students working at NASA, scoring a perfect 36 on the ACT, to professional athletes, I have been blessed to be a part of it all.

I have been coaching at Daphne HS for 18 years as a varsity Football assistant, and the head softball coach for 14 years.  I have had the honor to be involved with some great football players, softball players and teams throughout my Daphne career. While coaching, I have been a part of 13 area/region championships, participated in 5 Super Six Championships, and is a 2X State Champion in football. As the head softball coach, we have finished runner-up twice with multiple final four finishes.

I have a wife (Pamela) and three sons, Khalil, Rashad, and Amari

Go Trojans!
