Mrs. Shery Butler

Teaching is a love, and I have fourteen years experience in the public school setting and six years of private instruction to the homebound and home schooled.  In an effort to stay current, I recently completed national certification with eMINTS, a comprehensive research-based professional development service to educators.

Research shows gifted behavior can be seen when above average ability, task commitment and creativity work in tandem.  My goal is to help students use their gifts and talents to develop into responsible citizens who make morally sound choices and who lead with courage.

When I'm away from school, I enjoy family, traveling, and “cruising” the trails around Gulf Shores on my bike.
