This is my sixth year at GSMS. Go Dolphins! I have an 12-year-old son, Wyatt, who enjoys football, CrossFit, and video games. I also have three cat furbabies - Catniss, Cinder, and Stormy. I grew up in Baldwin County and most of my family still lives here.
I went through grade school in and graduated from Baldwin County schools. I am extremely excited to be able to teach in the county that prepared me for the world! I graduated from Daphne High School and went on to the University of South Alabama to receive my Bachelors in Secondary Language Arts Education. I also earned my Masters in Gifted/Talented Education from the University of Alabama. I was named Teacher of the Year for the 2013-2014 school year. I am excited to see many more years here at GSMS!
Currently, I teach yearbook, newspaper, and Computer Science Discoveries. I have also taught 8th grade Language Arts, English Enrichment, Service Learning/Leadership, 7th grade English and 7th grade Literature. The GSMS yearbook staff has won the National Yearbook of Excellence Award twice! I am very proud of our students' hard work. Keep an eye on the GSMS social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) for news from the GSMS newspaper staff.
