This is my 14th year of teaching, starting my fourth year of teaching third grade. I taught first grade for 11 years and have loved the transition to third grade. I have a BS degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, both degrees graduating with honors from University of Mobile.
I was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Alabama from Pennsylvania in 1986 with my husband and our four children. I have been married to my husband Norman for 44 years and we have four wonderful children, three sons, Toby, Joshua and Matt, and one daughter, Daryl. We have seven grandchildren, Peyton, Lexi, JoJo, Landon, Cooper, Anabelle and Van, three dogs, Duke, Kolby and Corky, and one cat, Rusty!
When I am not teaching I love spending time with our children and grandchildren, camping, cycling, gardening, cooking, traveling to see our oldest son in Spokane ,Washington and four wheeler riding! I am also very active with our small Methodist church in Lottie.
My children attended Perdido School and I have always been active with this school and community. It is a great community and I am so very proud to be an educator at this great school.
Education is not filling a pail but the lighting of a fire. ~William Butler Yeats
