My name is Alana Carpenter. When I was a little girl, I went to school right here at Foley Elementary. Later, I graduated from the University of South Alabama (GO JAGS!) with degrees in elementary education. I am triple certified in elementary education, special education and as a reading specialist. This is my fifth year teaching Kindergarten at Foley Elementary. I previously taught K-4 for six years, in Daphne. I am Leader in Me, Talents, and AMSTI trained in both math and science. I am also an AMSTI trainer and am one of our school's Science PLT representatives. I am married to Mr. Zack and we have a 15 year old daughter, Kyla. We reside in Loxley with our two dogs, Charlie and Angel. Some of my favorite things include reading and swimming, but my most favorite thing is teaching!
