I grew up in Pensacola, Florida, and graduated from the University of West Florida. My Bachelor's Degree is in Special Education/Learning Disabilities and Elementary Education. This year I will be completing my 21st year teaching. Over the years, I have taught second grade, K-5 special education classes, inclusion classes, and first grade. Most of time has been spent in first grade and it is definitely my favorite. I absolutely love watching the students learn how to read. They get so excited when they learn something new and it is such a blessing to see their pride and love of learning.
My family and I relocated to Foley, Alabama, in 2006. My husband and I have been married for 25 years and have one daughter. She attends Auburn University where she studies engineering. During my free time, I love going to the beach, snorkeling, and spending time with family. Anything Disney makes me smile and I would like to visit there more often.
