"Literature is Life"  Judy Frye

    Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at Spanish Fort Middle School! This is my 1st year teaching Language Arts at Spanish Fort Middle School, and I couldn't be more excited to be here! 

    I am originally from Pascagoula, MS and attended The University of Southern Mississipi where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Education.  

Fun Facts about Mrs. Barnes:

I live in Spanish Fort with my husband, Scott  and our three children, Meredith, Jack, and Sanders. They are all three proud Spanish Fort Toros!

In my spare time (ha!), I enjoy working out, reading, and spending time with my family. (including my two sweet dogs) 

My FAVORITE book  is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I read it every year during the month of December. 

I am a very big Southern Miss fan!! SMTTT!

I decided to become an English teacher because of my love for grammar and literature!
