Mrs. Lanette Randall
My name is Lanette Randall. I moved to Robertsdale during the summer of 1986, graduated from Robertsdale High School in the spring of 1988, and began attending the University of South Alabama that fall. While attending the University of South Alabama, I pledged Kappa Delta and served on the Panhellenic Council. I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and began teaching kindergarten at Robertsdale Elementary in 1992. While teaching kindergarten, I began attending graduate classes at the University of South Alabama and earned a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. That same year, I received training in the Talents Unlimited program and earned the distinction of being Highly Qualified in the field of early childhood education. After teaching kindergarten at Robertsdale Elementary for 10 years, I made the switch to second grade. In 2018, I will proudly begin my 16th year as a second grade teacher. During my 25+ years at Robertsdale Elementary, I have served as grade level chair, on professional learning communities, as PTO liason, and as a mentor many times over, but one of my proudest moments was being elected by my peers as Teacher of the Year in 2016... an honor that ranks right up there with being requested to teach the children / grandchildren of principals, other teachers, high school classmates, and even children of former students. Lots of people ask if I consider retiring anytime soon. My response is always the same... I'll consider retiring when it's not fun anymore. Right now - I still enjoy spending my days being surrounded by seven and eight year olds who will one day become the leaders of our schools, community, state, and country.
