Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree - 2006 Master's Degree in Elementary Education- 2009
I attended Elberta Elementary/Middle School and graduated from Foley High School in 2001. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama in 2006. I received my master's degree in Elementary education from the University of South Alabama in the spring of 2009.
During the 2008-2009 school year, I applied and was accepted to participate in the eMINTS (Enhancing Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies) program. Since then, I have participated in over 200 hours of extensive professional development in-services that have transformed my classroom into a 21st century classroom. In an eMINTS classroom, students are engaged in inquiry based lessons that require students to collaborate and problem solve. Student learning is enhanced with multimedia tools such as computers, interactive white boards, audio amplification devices, scanners, LCD projectors, video cameras, and digital cameras.
This will be my thirteenth year teaching at Robertsdale Elementary. I have always wanted to be a teacher and truly enjoy every minute of my job. I look forward to having a great school year.
