Ms. Kay Taylor

A native of Ruleville, Ms. in the Mississippi Delta, the birth place of the blues, Ms Taylor had a thirty-year career in library administration and information services before going into the teaching field.  She has served as the Director of the Meridian, Ms. Public Library; Assistant Director of the Jackson, Ms. Metropolitan Library System; and Manager of the Literature, Philosophy, and Religion Department of the Memphis, Tn. Public Library and Information Center.  She entered the teaching field in the Memphis, Tn. City Schools and the Shelby County, Tn. Schools before attending law school.  Moving to Daphne, Al. in 2003, Ms Taylor continued her career teaching at Foley Middle School for three years before beginning her tenure at the Daphne Middle School.  "I hope to make a difference in my students' lives," she says.  "I am proud to be a Trojan."
