Amanda Jansen Blake has been a school counselor at Daphne Middle School since 2017. She received the Recognition of Accountability Verification & Excellence Award (RAVE) award for her first year of counseling. 

Mrs. Blake became the sponsor of the Peer Helper program in 2013, piloting the Peer Helper class at the middle school level for Baldwin County. She provides professional development for other program coordinators at the National Peer Professionals' Conference. 

She taught at Daphne Middle School starting in 2002 teaching classes of English, Literature, Language Arts Composite, Newspaper Journalism, Reading Intervention, Peer Helping, and Study Skills.  Mrs. Blake was awarded Teacher of the Year for 2006-2007 school year, is a Google Certified Educator, Digital Renaissance Leadership Academy graduate, certified and published A.C.E instructor for ALEX (Alabama Learning Exchange). She presented for seven years at the Gulf Regional Innovative Technology Conference in Baldwin County, and presents various professional development to teachers on how to teach using technology, specifically using Google Drive. 

Mrs. Blake married her college sweetheart in 2002 and they have two school age children.  At home she enjoys reading fictional novels and watching drama series on Netflix. She loves to spend time drinking coffee with her friends. In her spare time she practices yoga, paints, and does various crafts. Mrs. Blake loves to travel and has spent time in Paris, England, Belgium, Mexico, New York, Boston, North Carolina, California, Nevada, Missouri, Kansas, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama. She loves her pets has had various species of animals as pets. She currently has two cats, hermit crabs, a tarantula, and a snake.
