My name is Traci Branum. My husband and
I along with our nine-year-old twin boys reside
in Bay Minette. My husband has been a lifelong
resident of Bay Minette, but I am not originally
from Alabama. I grew up in Salinas, California
until the age of 18 years old in which my father
was tired of the traffic and crowded areas, wanted
to move to Oklahoma; we packed up and moved.
In Oklahoma I did meet my future husband who
was only working in Oklahoma due to an ice storm
we had experienced. So, that is how I ended up in
Alabama, which I do not foresee any more moving
in the future. Furthermore, I feel exceptionally
blessed to be working at Perdido School.
I started my teaching career as a 7-10th grade science
teacher in Oklahoma. After teaching in Oklahoma,
I then taught in Georgia as a 7-10th grade science/math
teacher. My husband and I decided to move back to
Bay Minette. Returning to Bay Minette, I gained
employment as a science teacher at Escambia
County Middle School in Atmore, Alabama.
Currently, this is my fourth year at Perdido
School serving as the school counselor.
