Ms. Amy Hiller

Welcome to Gulf Shores Elementary School!

I am honored to be a member of the Gulf Shores Elementary School Family for over two years now. I previously served students, families, and educators in Arley, Alabama for twenty-six years. The last nine years in Arley, at Meek Elementary, were spent as the principal of Meek Elementary School. The two years before that as an assistant principal at Meek High School for half the day, while teaching sixth grade math and science the rest of the day. The remaining fifteen years at Meek were spent teaching sixth graders in all subject areas and fifth grade writing and English.

I have enjoyed becoming acquainted with the Gulf Shores community. The people in this community are most welcoming and truly want to be a part of educating the future citizens of Gulf Shores.

My daughter, Kim, is a tenth-grade student and varsity cheerleader at Gulf Shores High School. She is also on the Gulf Coast Tumbling Competition Cheer Team, plays beach volleyball and loves to spend time at the beach. My son, Sean, holds Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He has opened a Performance Physical Therapy Clinic, VP2R, in Birmingham and is working at UAB Hospital.

I look forward to a fantastic year of working with all of you to continue moving our school forward to support bright futures for our students.   Go Dolphins!
