Mrs. Amy Hiller

Welcome to Gulf Shores Elementary School!

I am honored to be a member of the Gulf Shores Elementary School Family. I have served students, families, and educators in Arley, Alabama for twenty-six years. The past nine years I have served as the principal of Meek Elementary School. I served two years as an assistant principal at Meek High School for half the day, while teaching sixth grade math and science the rest of the day. The remaining fifteen years were spent teaching sixth graders in all subject areas and fifth grade writing and English.

I am overjoyed to move my family to the Gulf Shores community. My daughter, Kim, will attend eighth grade at Gulf Shores Middle School. My son, Sean, is attending his final year of Physical Therapy School at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Making the move from Smith Lake in Arley to Gulf Shores is a wonderful transition. I love jet-skiing, wakeboarding, and enjoying the water and beach with my family and friends.

The energy and direction of the Gulf Shores Schools create a dynamic I am excited to become a part of as I bring to the table a love and eagerness to help every student visualize and attain a meaningful, happy life and become productive community members through my service to teachers, families, and community stakeholders.

Thank you for the warm welcome to your community. Go Dolphins!
