100 Anniversary Information

  • Dear Fairhope High School Alumni and Friends,

In the 1923/24 school year, the first 5 students graduated from Fairhope High School.  On Saturday, November 4, we will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Fairhope High School!  The City of Fairhope and a group of Fairhope High alumni are planning events for that weekend including a memorable event with former football players on Saturday morning and a street party on Saturday night with entertainment, food, and the opportunity to have a reunion with your classmates.

A major part of this celebration will be the opportunity for individuals/families to purchase pavers to honor students, teachers, principals, and staff who are/were associated with Fairhope schools K-12.  Engraved 12” x 12” pavers are being offered for a $125 donation.  The City will place the pavers on the sidewalks in front and on the side of the 1926-1953 high school on Church Street—also known as the former K1 Center.  The pavers may be engraved with up to 6 lines containing 17 characters per line, which would enable more than one person to share the cost of a paver.  See the order form with examples.   Forms need to be turned in by May 31, 2023, in order for the engraver to be able to deliver the pavers and the City to be able to install the pavers by October 28.

More details about the events and the paver project, including the forms, are available on the websites of Fairhope High School, the City of Fairhope, and the Baldwin County Board of Education (www.bcbe.org/FHS100Anniversary)
