Choose Kindness Week 2019
Together We Can End Homelessness In Baldwin County
The mission of Family Promise of Baldwin County is to provide temporary shelter, related services and nurturing support to homeless families with children and to assist them with obtaining suitable and permanent housing.
SGA and Peer Helpers spearheaded a school-wide Kindness Project to coincide with Choose Kindness Week. They collected items for Family Promise by homerooms. Some of the items collected included liquid hand soap, dish soap, shampoo, baby wipes, sponges, trash bags, paper towels, and socks.
Choose Kindness Week 2018
FMS Choose Kindness Week was February 19th- 23rd. This year, the FMS Peer Helper Program sponsored a Purposeful Acts of Kindness Challenge for all students, teachers, and staff. The goal was to have all of us planning and carrying out acts of kindness, no matter how small, for friends, family, co-workers, and/or neighbors starting next Monday, February 5 -February 21. By completing the Purposeful Acts of Kindness Challenge Form and emailing a picture of the kind act to Mrs. Doyle (optional), students, staff, and teachers were eligible for a drawing on February 23rd for Walmart gift-cards; first place school wide winner- $50, second place school-wide winner- $30, and third place school-wide winner- $20.
